Post-Damage Inspection After Rain or Natural Disaster

When your property suffers damage following heavy rain or a natural disaster, it is crucial to conduct a thorough inspection to assess the extent of the damage and plan the necessary repairs. Inspecteur-Élite is here to help you navigate this difficult period with specialized inspection services.

How Does a Home Inspection Work?

A home inspection involves a thorough practical and visual examination of the physical condition of the visible and accessible systems and components of a house or condominium. Conducted by a building inspector, it examines the structure, grounds, exterior, doors, windows, roof, plumbing, electrical systems, heating, air conditioning, and ventilation.

It is recommended to be present on the day of the inspection visit with your real estate agent to observe the specialist’s work. Typically lasting 2 to 3 hours, the duration of the inspection varies depending on the type of property. Within 48 hours, the inspector provides a detailed written report with photos, highlighting observations and necessary corrections. If a component cannot be inspected, the reason is explained in the report.
