Your personal information is handled with the same rigour as our inspections. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights.
This website is operated by INSPECTEUR-ÉLITE INC. (“Inspecteur Élite”), Montréal, Québec. In accordance with Québec's Law 25, the person responsible for the protection of personal information is Giacomo Ciavaglia. For any question or request concerning your personal information: info@inspecteurelite.com or (514) 802-7215.
Information you provide: when you fill out a contact, quote or download form, we collect what you enter — typically your name, email, phone number, property type and any details you choose to share about the building or your project. The same information may be collected when you reach us by phone, text or email.
Information collected automatically: de-identified browsing data via Google Analytics (pages viewed, device type, approximate location) and standard server logs (IP address, timestamps). See our cookie policy.
We never sell your personal information and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
Your information may be processed by technical providers acting on our behalf: Formspree (form processing), Google (audience measurement) and our web host. Some of these providers store data on servers located outside Québec, including in the United States; these transfers are governed by contractual protection commitments. No information is shared with other third parties without your consent, unless required by law.
We keep your information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, then for the periods required by our legal, professional and insurance obligations (notably for inspection reports). Safeguards include encrypted communications (HTTPS), access limited to those who need it, and periodic review of our practices.
To exercise a right, write to info@inspecteurelite.com. We respond within 30 days. If you are dissatisfied with the outcome, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI).
Every confidentiality incident is recorded in a register. If an incident presents a risk of serious injury, we will notify the persons concerned and the Commission d'accès à l'information, as required by law.
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The current version is always published on this page. Last updated: July 13, 2026.
