Terms of Use

The rules governing the use of this website and the scope of its informational content.

1. Acceptance

By browsing inspecteurelite.com, you accept these terms of use. The website is operated by INSPECTEUR-ÉLITE INC., Montréal, Québec.

2. Informational content — not professional advice

The guides, blog articles, defect pages and other content on this site are provided for general information only. They do not constitute an inspection, a diagnosis, or professional, legal or financial advice applicable to a specific property. Every building is unique: only an on-site inspection, governed by a written service agreement setting out the mandate's scope, limitations and exclusions, can document the apparent, visible and accessible condition of a given property.

Where website content and a service agreement differ, the service agreement prevails.

3. Accuracy of content

We strive to keep content accurate and current, particularly regarding Québec-specific standards, practices and references. However, we do not warrant that content is error-free or complete at all times, and it may change without notice. To report an error: info@inspecteurelite.com.

4. Intellectual property

The texts, photographs, illustrations, guides and other content on this site are the property of INSPECTEUR-ÉLITE INC. or used with permission. Any reproduction, distribution or commercial use without prior written authorization is prohibited. Sharing a link to a page of the site is permitted and encouraged.

5. External links

The site may contain links to third-party websites (public bodies, technical resources, professional directories). These sites are not under our control and we are not responsible for their content or practices.

6. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, INSPECTEUR-ÉLITE INC. cannot be held liable for damages arising from the use of this site or from reliance on its informational content outside of an inspection mandate. Liability relating to inspection services is governed exclusively by the applicable service agreement and by law.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Québec. Any dispute falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Québec, district of Montréal. Last updated: July 13, 2026.
